FAQ – Frequently asked questions – There is no such thing as a silly question. We’ve all heard that before, and most likely the questions you have are common ones we here. Do I need to be fit to join? What if I can’t keep up? What do I need to do to join?

The Classes

How many people do you have in each class?

All of our classes inside The Stables are small group classes with a maximum of 10 people in each class. This ensures that you get the standard of coaching you deserve and get the very most out of every class. Your safety is paramount and with small class sizes the coach can have eyes on the whole room throughout.

I've never exercised before - will I be able to keep up?

Absolutely! All of our Stables classes are designed to be suitable for any level of fitness, age and ability. Every workout and exercise can be scaled down (or up) to ensure you get the best workout for you. Our expert coaches are there to guide you through the movements and find the right level for you. You’ll be amazed how quickly your strength and fitness builds too!

I have an underlying injury. Can I still join classes?

Absolutely! We have a number of members with past injuries/ailments. Any movements can be adapted to avoid further damage and work on improving strength in the area. We always aim to work the same muscle groups with movements that are lower impact or decreased range of movement. For example; running can be swapped for a different cardio machine, push-ups for dumbell floor presses, lunges for step ups etc.

Are you a CrossFit gym?

No. We are not a CrossFit affiliate. However, both Naomi & Neil are past crossFit coaches and a lot of our favourite elements of the ethos has been carried forward to The Stables. The elements we love are the adaptability of workout to suit everyone from the young to the old, the new to the experienced trainees. The varied programs of workouts of the day that are every changing and challenging in different ways keeps classes exciting.

The Memberships

What are your prices?

We have a variety of membership options available. There are drop in sessions at £12 a class for those in the area for a short time. Maybe your schedule is constantly changing. Then our 10 session blocks are a great place to start. If you want to throw yourself straight in our memberships start from £85pm/£7 per class. Is there a contractual commitment?

Life changes. Schedules change. Sometimes unexpectedly. We completely understand that. For that reason all of our memberships are on a rolling month by month basis. If you need to cancel for any reason just speak to us in class or drop us a message. Your membership can be cancelled or put on hold until you are ready to come back to us.

The Facilities

I struggle with childcare. Can I bring the kids along?

We have a children’s play area upstairs with a range of books and toys to keep little ones from pre-school age up entertained. Older kids are welcome to sit at the table or sofas to relax or do homework. There is a microwave if they need to bring dinner with them. Babies are welcome in the class room but obviously remain the parents responsibility and must be kept in a safe area away from moving equipment. Buggies/coaches arms are perfect!

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are very welcome at the Stables. They can sleep upstairs on the sofas or sit in the class room with you. There are some lovely walks in the area so why not come to a class and walk off the jelly legs with the dog after!?
